Hilary Walsh was born in San Francisco and raised in Philadelphia. After attending business school in New York, she followed her interest in photography and worked as a photo assistant in several cities, including Paris and London, before launching her own career. Walsh is most noted for her fashion editorials and celebrity portraiture, which are characterized by her use of subdued lighting to emphasize the natural beauty of her subjects. Walsh’s photographs appear in publications such as Vogue, Elle, GQ, Interview, Double, Casa Vogue, Nylon and V.
